Our History
The Bargersville Community Fire Department started with the creation of the Bargersville Men’s Club in 1941. Dues were $10 a year. The Club originally met at the gun range across from Umbarger & Sons grain Elevator on Old Plank Road.
The name was soon changed to the Bargersville Community Association. In 1954, the association became the Bargersville Community Volunteer Fire Department.
The Bargersville Fire Protection District was established in 1992. Since then, the department has grown from a volunteer fire department to a career/combination department with more than 80 employees.
